Presented in association with the 6th annual Asia Pacific Screen Awards.
With three films in official competition in Cannes 2012 and a city spotlight at the recent Toronto Film Festival, the city of Mumbai is currently a hotbed of creative energy.
Join filmmakers and commentators from one of the world’s most influential and prolific cinema industries as they discuss diversity and current trends in contemporary filmmaking in Mumbai.
The panel includes Leena Yadav, a writer, editor, producer and director based in Mumbai. Joining Leena is Anurag Kashyap, director of the controversial Black Friday (2004) which was nominated for the Golden Leopard at the 2004 Locarno Film Festival.
The panel will be moderated by Mitu Bhowmick-Lange, Festival Director of the Indian Film Festival 2012. Mitu has worked in Bombay directing several TV shows, and wrote and directed the multi-award-winning documentary, Watch Without Prejudice.
