Against All Odds

Now, it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything, but I swear more is coming.

However, back to the pressing issue at hand.

There comes a time when there are those videos/sound clips/moments in history that you hear about – almost like an urban legend – that you try to locate, but are unable to find.

One of these moments that I’m after at the moment is the 1985 Academy Award ceremony, whereupon the very talented Ann Reinking performed the Best Original Song nominee “Against All Odds”, written by the very famous and yet to be Academy recognised Phil Collins.

Now there is no footage of this online, and frankly, that saddens me. The moment is apparently famous in Oscar history, as Collins disgruntled, if not horrified face is far from invisible.

It’s these moments that make life worth life, and give true meaning to the Interwebz.

So I’m making my pledge, or rather my quest to find the Reinking/Oscar/Against All Odds video.

If you have seen it, or have knowledge of its existence, please do not hesitate to contact me. My very happiness depends on this.

Much love and respect,

Jamie.
